LEGAL
Refund Policy
This policy explains when refunds may or may not be available for Domaintico services.
1. General Principles
Due to the nature of domain and registry-based services, many products are processed instantly and submitted to third-party registries. Once submitted, they may not be reversible.
All refund decisions are subject to registry policies, payment processor rules, and applicable laws.
2. Domain Registrations
Domain registrations are typically non-refundable once successfully registered with the registry.
- If a registration fails and no domain is provisioned, a full refund will be issued.
- If incorrect information was entered during checkout, refunds may not be available.
3. Domain Renewals
Renewals are generally non-refundable once processed and submitted to the registry.
You are responsible for managing renewal settings and expiration dates in your account.
4. Domain Transfers
Transfer fees are typically non-refundable once the transfer process has been initiated.
- If a transfer fails due to a system or registrar-side error, a refund may be issued.
- Failure caused by incorrect auth (EPP) codes or domain lock status may not qualify for a refund.
5. Add-on Services (SSL, Privacy, Email, Hosting)
Refund eligibility for add-on services depends on activation status and usage.
- Unprovisioned services may qualify for a refund.
- Activated or issued SSL certificates are typically non-refundable.
- Email and hosting services may be eligible for partial refunds within a limited timeframe, if unused.
6. Chargebacks & Disputes
Initiating a chargeback without contacting support first may result in account suspension.
We encourage customers to contact support to resolve billing issues before filing disputes.
7. Processing Time
Approved refunds are typically processed within a reasonable timeframe. The time required for funds to appear depends on your payment provider.
8. Exceptions
We reserve the right to grant or deny refunds at our discretion in exceptional circumstances, including clear technical errors or duplicate charges.
9. Contact
To request a refund or discuss billing concerns, please contact us via the Contact page or open a support ticket.
